Community participation means getting out and doing the things you enjoy, with a support worker alongside you. We provide NDIS community participation support, one-to-one, for people in Williams Landing, Caroline Springs, Melton, Taylors Hill and across Melbourne’s west.
What it can look like
- Going to the gym, a swimming session or a local sports club.
- Joining a class: art, music, cooking, a language or a TAFE short course.
- Visiting the library, a café, the shops or a market.
- Going to church, a mosque or a cultural community event.
- Catching up with friends, or meeting new people with similar interests.
- Volunteering, or trying out the kind of work you might like to do.
Building confidence, one step at a time
Some people want company and a hand with getting there. Others want to build up to doing things on their own. Your worker can start by doing an activity with you, then step back as you get more confident, and we check in regularly about how it is going.
We look for workers who share an interest or speak your language where we can, because it is easier to enjoy an outing with someone you get on with.
Getting there
Your worker can drive you, travel with you on public transport, or help you learn the route. See transport and travel assistance for more.
Getting started
Call (03) 9967 9524 or send an enquiry. Tell us what you would like to do and when, and we will suggest a plan and a worker.
