Group activities are a way to try new things, learn together and make friends. We run and support NDIS group activities for people in Williams Landing, Caroline Springs, Melton and across Melbourne’s west, in small groups with support workers on hand.
Group and centre-based activities
Groups meet in community spaces or a centre, and could include:
- cooking and shared meals
- art, craft and music
- fitness, walking groups and sport
- skill-building sessions, such as using a phone or computer, or money skills
- outings to local events and places of interest.
Innovative community participation
Innovative community participation is for activities that do not fit a standard model: new projects that help people take part in community life and build skills in a mainstream setting. The aim is the same as any community participation: to take part in ordinary community life alongside other people, with support where it is needed.
What to expect
Groups are kept small so everyone gets the support they need. Workers help each person take part in the way that suits them, including help with personal care during the session if needed. If you prefer to start with one-to-one support, see community participation.
