Personal care is help with the everyday things most people do without thinking: getting showered, dressed and ready for the day. Our support workers provide NDIS personal care at home in Williams Landing, Caroline Springs, Melton and nearby suburbs across Melbourne’s west, at the times you choose.
What our workers help with
- Showering and bathing, including getting in and out safely.
- Dressing and grooming: choosing clothes, shaving, hair care, skin care.
- Toileting and continence support, done with care and privacy.
- Medication prompting: reminding you to take medication as set out in your medication plan.
- Mealtime support: preparing a meal, helping you eat and drink, following any mealtime plan.
- Getting ready for bed, including evening routines.
Who comes, and when
You tell us when you need help. That could be a morning visit before work or day program, an evening visit, or several short visits through the day. We aim to send the same small group of workers each time, so you are not explaining your routine to a new person every week.
If you prefer a female or male worker, or someone who speaks your language, tell us. We match on fit, and we will be honest if we cannot cover a particular request.
Dignity comes first
Personal care is personal. Workers knock before entering, explain what they are about to do, and follow your lead. If something does not feel right, you can tell the worker, call us, or use our feedback and complaints process.
